At the forum, business leaders and top experts presented a comprehensive picture and trends in innovation, while identifying timely opportunities to seize. Concurrently, the discussion session "Open Innovation - The Untold Story" delved into the process of adopting and collaborating on open innovation in corporations and businesses with notable representatives. Lessons and strategies to overcome internal challenges and achieve faster, more sustainable growth were shared. Stories of innovation in leading businesses were revealed.
Innovative proposals from businesses and corporations presented at the forum required entrepreneurial companies to solve problems with new, creative approaches. Companies like Heineken Vietnam, Viettel Group, Qualcomm, Nagakawa Group, Smollan Vietnam, Kowil Vietnam, CMC Corporation, etc., announced their topics during this occasion.
As a leading company in innovation in Vietnam, Nagakawa Group brought to the forum a topic on seeking energy-saving solutions to reduce CO2 emissions, especially pertinent as coal-fired power currently accounts for 45.6% of the total electricity output in the system. This ambitious topic required synergy and parallel development with solutions from external resources, embodying the spirit of Open Innovation. The topic by Nagakawa Group represents the company's aspiration to seek and connect with potential technological solutions in the market.
In the BANI era, a business wanting to enhance its adaptability and expand its growth must engage in open innovation. Established for over 20 years in the market, Nagakawa, with its long history, faces both advantages and challenges as a traditional manufacturing company. Therefore, Nagakawa focuses on innovation, especially open innovation. As a leader in implementing the latest technologies in air conditioning and new-generation HVAC systems, Nagakawa participates in alliances to develop comprehensive technology systems, including software technology, telecommunications data transmission, AI, IoT, and big data, collaborating with international partners to research and master Smart VRF/HVAC and BMS solutions. These solutions help monitor and manage the use of electricity in air conditioning, heating, ventilation systems of buildings, offices, residential areas, industrial parks, etc., providing alerts or automatic control to prevent wasteful energy consumption. Nagakawa's proprietary technology can potentially reduce electricity consumption in buildings by 5% and aims for 25% in the future.
This strategy is also part of Nagakawa's transition towards technology in the air conditioning and refrigeration sector, contributing to the market products that are superior in quality, energy-efficient, and minimize environmental impact. This aligns with the government's Net Zero goal and the Green Transition for Sustainable Development.
Participating in the Vietnam Innovation Leaders Forum 2023, Nagakawa Group also proudly sponsored the event. The forum, themed "Corporations and Businesses Leading Open Innovation," is part of the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2023 (VIIE 2203) and the inauguration of the NIC facility at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park. The forum gathered business leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and those driving the future of business innovation and entrepreneurship, expected to further promote open innovation for companies like Nagakawa.
